Mr Sadiki : allocation of a 534 million dirhams for the green generation and rural development projects in the province of TATA

On Thursday, in the Tata province, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, agreements were signed concerning the development of the agriculture, education, health, sports, and local services sectors.

These agreements cover fire prevention, the rehabilitation of Tata oases, the development of local products, the establishment of an experimental farm for alternative crops, and territorial development in the fields of education, sports, health, and drinking water.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Akhannouch, leading a governmental delegation, attended the presentation of projects for the sustainable management of oasis ecosystems (PROGREEN), enhancement of irrigation in oases, the creation of protective structures (conversion thresholds and protective walls), the rehabilitation of rural roads, the development of the tree-planting and livestock sectors, and the comprehensive development program of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture 2024-2027.

As part of his field visit to the Tata province, the Prime Minister attended the presentation of the Ait Wabli, Tamanart, and Tamanart Assif Nit dam projects in the Ait Wabli rural municipality. He also oversaw the launch of a newly rehabilitated health center in Aqqa.

On this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, emphasized that the governmental delegation’s visit aimed to review the progress of developmental projects in the province. He noted that the delegation visited projects within the Green Generation strategy in the province, which required a budget of one billion dirhams over the past ten years.

He added that agreements were signed to reduce the region’s isolation, combat fires, develop water points, and enhance cooperative products. He pointed out that significant projects were launched in the province.

Mr. Sadiki noted that a budget of 534 million dirhams was allocated to these projects within the Green Generation and rural development framework, considering that these projects will positively impact the local population by improving income, creating job opportunities, and achieving comprehensive development in the province.
