Mauritanian Agricultural Engineer Praises the Depth and Strength of Agricultural Cooperation Between Morocco and Mauritania
In an exclusive statement to Al-Mouhit Agricultural Magazine, Mauritanian agricultural engineer Mr. Mohamed Saleck, Director of an agricultural company, praised the significant role played by the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture in the success of the prestigious international event, on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Meknes.
During his visit to the booth of “Top Al-Mansoura Nurseries,” a leading producer of fruit trees in Morocco, Mr. Saleck commended the fruitful partnership between his company and the nurseries, which has lasted for three years. He noted that his company imports high-quality varieties of lemon, olive, and orange trees from them. He emphasized that this partnership reflects the strong and renewed fraternal ties between the Moroccan and Mauritanian peoples—relations that continue to grow stronger year after year in the interest of both neighboring countries.
The Mauritanian engineer stated that this is the third time he has participated in the International Agricultural Exhibition in Meknes, highlighting his constant commitment to renewing agricultural cooperation, given its importance in promoting sustainable development.
He added that many Moroccan farmers and investors have already contributed to the development of the agricultural sector in Mauritania by investing in crop cultivation and exporting high-quality products—such as watermelon and others—to European markets. This has helped solidify agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Saleck concluded his statement by expressing his aspiration to further strengthen these partnerships in the future, especially by utilizing the vast agricultural lands in Mauritania for fruit tree cultivation, thanks to the leading Moroccan expertise embodied by “Top Al-Mansoura Nurseries.”
