As part of strengthening international partnerships in the grain sector, the French capital, Paris, hosted an important meeting on the sidelines of the International Agricultural Show. The meeting brought together the Moroccan Association of Grain Multipliers and their French counterparts under the banner of the National Federation of Agricultural Seed Multipliers (FNAMS). It was attended by the President of the French Federation and his accompanying delegation, as well as the President of the Moroccan Association for Conservation Agriculture.
A Shared Vision to Enhance Production and Achieve Sustainability…
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mehdi El Ghazoui, President of the Regional Association of Grain Multipliers for the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, who presented the objectives and work program of the Moroccan association aimed at developing the grain multiplication sector in the Kingdom. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both parties to exchange insights and experiences, with a focus on fostering technological innovation in this vital field.
During the session, the FNAMS President delivered a comprehensive presentation on the French federation’s role in supporting farmers and seed multipliers through advanced research and modern technologies. These efforts contribute to improving production quality and strengthening food security. The French delegation also expressed its readiness to expand cooperation with Moroccan associations within the framework of the distinguished bilateral relations between Morocco and France, aiming for sustainable agricultural development.
Practical Steps Toward Deeper Cooperation…
The meeting resulted in an agreement on several joint initiatives, the most notable being an upcoming field visit by Moroccan grain multipliers to France in April. This visit will allow them to closely observe seed production methods and the techniques used in making them available to farmers. Such an initiative is expected to facilitate knowledge transfer and the adoption of best practices in grain multiplication, aligning with the climatic and economic challenges facing the sector.
Strengthening Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture…
This meeting marks a significant step in reinforcing Moroccan-French cooperation in the grain sector, reflecting a shared commitment to agricultural production development and sustainability through the adoption of advanced farming practices. It also paves the way for further collaboration in research and development, offering Moroccan farmers and multipliers greater opportunities to benefit from Europe’s leading expertise.
This gathering was not merely a technical meeting but a pivotal moment in the long-standing and constructive cooperation between Morocco and France in agriculture. It is expected to lead to promising future projects that will enhance food security and improve the productivity of the agricultural sector in both countries.
