French Prime Minister François Bayrou visited the Moroccan pavilion at the International Agricultural Exhibition in Paris on the evening of Monday, February 24. This year, the Kingdom of Morocco is honored as the guest of honor at the event.
During the visit, Prime Minister Bayrou, accompanied by French Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests, Annie Genevard, spent considerable time exploring the different sections of the Moroccan pavilion. He was joined by Morocco’s Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Ahmed Bouari.
On this occasion, the French Prime Minister received detailed explanations about Morocco’s local agricultural products and the work of agricultural cooperatives.
Morocco is participating in this major event with a large pavilion located at the heart of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Paris (February 22 – March 2). The pavilion serves as a showcase highlighting the richness and diversity of Morocco’s agricultural sector, while also presenting aspects of Moroccan authenticity and uniqueness. The Kingdom is demonstrating its model of sustainable and innovative agriculture.
Covering an area of 476 square meters, the Moroccan pavilion features a diverse selection of regional products produced by 76 cooperatives, which collectively include around 2,000 small-scale farmers, 639 of whom are women.
